Brooklyn-based production house Loosee present their fourth official release titled Expand, a journey of dub-imbued techno grooves from Washington DC-based and 3024 affiliate Djoser.

True to its name, title track Expand offers up hypnotic synth chords that traverse across the soundscape before a blitz of breaky snare rhythms and deep wobbling sub bass enter the fold. Djoser’s dubstep roots are brandished with energy here as he commands the sub to never stop propelling the track forward, pushing ever outward.

Djoser takes us next to the streets of Benin’s de-facto capital with 11 PM in Cotonou. The city’s name, "Cotonou," means "by the river of death" in the language of the Fon people of Benin, a fitting framework for the dark and muted sonic palette deployed in this downtempo electro whirler.

The final track of the EP, Duster, turns the groove knob turned up to 11. A garage-steeped muted perc entwines with classically syncopated hi hats and springy synth drones to construct an intoxicating techno groove, perfect for bringing dancefloor energy levels into peak time heights.
